Amy Crowe, born in Brooklyn, New York began her dance training at the age of three under the instruction of Dr. Dolly Ellen. After eight years of studying with Dr. Ellen, she continued performing and training at Horizons In Dance, a popular and well respected dance education center known throughout the New York area. Here, Amy was chosen to be an instructor’s assistant and quickly realized her love and talent for educating young aspiring dancers. As well as teaching and studying, she was also chosen to be a part of Horizon’s Award Winning Competition Team along side, “So You Think You Can Dance?” choreographer Tice Diorio. This helped create the foundation for Amy’s twenty years of teaching excellence and success. With great passion and knowledge she has inspired hundreds of young students as an instructor, choreographer, friend, and mentor. During this time, Amy also spent three years training and fitting dancers with proper attire and footwear at one of Brooklyn’s most popular dance retailers. Utilizing her extensive teaching experience, Amy stresses proper technique while promoting a fun and creative atmosphere where children can receive a complete dance education. Amy is extremely excited to continue her dance career alongside Kimberly Tam as owners of “Arts In Motion Academy.”
